Our smooth calfskin leather is full-grain, crafted from the outermost layer: the most premium part of the animal. The artisan's touch makes it beautiful and soft by gently hammering the surface: this process brings out the leather's natural characteristics, reviving and giving it body. This essential step requires time and the precision of experienced hands.

Take the shoe, bend it, flex it: you’ll be able to do so with ease and without distorting it. It will pop back to its original beauty, thanks to this type of construction, that gives it a particularly lightweight and flexible fit.

The process begins with careful study of the leather; after finding the best part, the artisan cuts it. The lining is wrapped completely around the last like a bag. Then the upper leather is stretched around the lining. This is then delicately hammered to smooth down the seams and soften the parts that come into contact with the foot. Now the outsole can be attached and the shoe is ready to be finished and polished.

Made to last, it is derived from cow leather through the vegetable tanning process. It is velvety to the touch, a typical feel for quality soles. Its edges are smoothed, polished and brushed. This traditional process requires technique and dexterity.

Production is based in Civitanova, in the Macerata province, where the tradition of shoemaking has deep roots. For a product that lasts, we only select leathers that age well and put our trust in people who have been in this industry for generations. The artisans in our workshops have learned the job through family and know each and every trade secret.
